Welcome to the web site of “Third Health Sector Development Project” funded by ADB and implemented by MoH.
As you may aware of that this project is not the first program funded by ADB. In the long term collaboration, Health Sector Development Project funded by ADB with soft loan was impelemented between 1997 and 2002 during the difficult period of transition to free market economy and then Second Health Sector Development Project has been implemented since 2003. In the scope of these project, there were many significant reforms made and it can be proved by introducing family group pratices successfully.
The cost of the project is not a loan and is grant of 14 million $ funded by ADB and it will implement within 5 years between 2008 and 2013. According to our planning, the project was developed in line with MDGs and HSMP and it will make its own contribution to achieve those.
The project has 4 main components;
1) strengthening health care service,
2) improve health care financing and health insurence,
3) improve HRD and
4) support health sector development and management.
During the implementation of these components, the project will comtrobute to develop health sector reform at the policy level and improve primary and secondary health care service of the project aimags and districts which were not involved in previous projects. We encourage cooperation and paticipation of the community, local government, public and private sector organizations in the relevant activities and pay attention to help the community who encounter problems of access to health care service.
